Srilankan Airlines Codeshare Agreement

SriLankan Airlines flies to 109 destinations in 48 countries from its hub at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo (CMB). As a partner of the oneworld alliance, customers of both airlines are assured of recognition of their frequent flyer status and benefits such as access to lounges worldwide through check-in, additional baggage, consideration and collection of miles, check-in and preferred boarding on airline networks. Qatar Airways has announced enhanced codeshare cooperation with SriLankan Airlines from 23 December. This new codeshare agreement will strengthen the strategic partnership between the two airlines, first launched in 2016. Meanwhile, Qatar is in service on SriLankan flights to Gan Island, Maldives, above its Codeshare colombo platform. The national airlines of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Sri Lanka, Gulf Air and SriLankan Airlines, have signed a new codeshare agreement. The agreement, which came into effect on Wednesday, will allow each airline to place its code on a select group of flights from the other, and will offer customers a better choice of foreign destinations to choose from. With effect as of December 18, 2019, Gulf Air has entered into a codeshare partnership that significantly improves the travel opportunities of its respective esteemed customers. This is the second phase of a recent extension of the code-sharing agreement between the two airlines, both members of the oneworld Airline global alliance, which connects passengers from more than 13 member airlines in more than 1,000 cities in more than 180 countries and territories.

Gulf Air and SriLankan Airlines have entered into a codeshare partnership for flights between the two countries and two Mediterranean cities. As part of the agreement, SriLankan will put its code on Gulf Air flights from Bahrain to Colombo, Athens and Larnaca. In exchange, Gulf Air will have its code on SriLankans… Qatar Airways passengers benefit from access to exciting new destinations in the Maldives through the expanded codeshare agreement. You can now book trips on SriLankan Airlines flights to Gan Island to Addu Atoll, the southernst point of the Maldives. The new destination complements SriLankan Airlines` existing routes, which are available to Qatar Airways passengers – Colombo in Sri Lanka and Malé in the Maldives.
